Saturday 26 April will see the 3rd Northumberland 5s tournament take place with, again, 6 teams contesting the winners shield.

Based in Northumberland Park and taking place from 10-4, the tournament is now a regular fixture in North Tyneside's early season bowls calendar and will see 6 teams each playing three triples and three pairs matches in the morning with three singles and three 'fours' matches in the afternoon - all against randomly selected opponents. With two points for a win and 1 for a draw, the winners will be the team earning the most points. Simple.

Competing this year will be 'Northumberland' and 'Linskill' (both teams from the host club, Northumberland Linskill) together with teams from Percy (the 2024 winners), North Shields West End, Whitley Bay and Monkseaton, and Willington Quay bowling clubs.
